Trial Games Recap

Our preseason ended with two strong hit outs against contenders for the Super league Club Championship in Sutherland Shire Futsal and the Botany Bay Pirates.

The Shire based club was our first official club trial and Sutherland proved how strong they were going to be in their quest for promotion with some hard fought battles especially in the three senior games.

Best performed teams for us were the Academy team which hit double figures and Youth Mens with a hard fought 3-1 victory.

It was also the first competitive match for our Pre Academy teams and they were brilliant winning both games.

The sight of seeing young boys and girls from the age of 9 kicking a futsal ball was a great sight.

All in all a great day of competitive futsal on behalf of the club I would like to thank Sutherland Shire Futsal Club President Mr Jonathan Simnett and Ruth and all of the coaching staff and players on an enjoyable and well played day of futsal.

Trial number two pitted us against another club with promotion ambitions and that was the Botany Bay Pirates.

Whilst we won all grades our 14 and 16 girls teams ran riot scoring double figures whilst the Youth and u/16 boys were even and hard fought fixtures as was the Mens clash.

Earlier in the day the Pre Academy teams took on Mountain Magic and the Mascot Vipers as curtain raisers to the club trial vs the Pirates.

I’d like to thank Dez Marton and all the Pirates crew for a hard fought but enjoyable day of futsal.
